Early morning outing on Saw Mill Road

One evening several years ago I was walking my dog Spoozy around the loop.  One of the kids in town ran up to me and asked whether I had a 15 foot pole. “Why?” I asked.  He replied “There’s a little bear up in the tree behind the deli.  It’s time for him to hibernate. He’ll fall asleep and will fall out of the tree and I need to get him down now so he’ll be fine.” I didn’t have a pole and the bear made it  down by himself.  Cute kid!     from Deirdre
